The Takex TX-103R is a battery powered outdoor passive infrared sensor with a bay for a plug in radio transmitter module, supplied to the Australian market by Ness Corporation under part number 106-215. It is designed for wireless perimeter and approach detection where running cable is impractical, such as driveways, side paths, sheds and rural gates.
The sensor head rotates through 180 degrees and offers four selectable detection patterns. Mounted vertically it gives a wide angle pattern to 10 metres, a horizontal curtain to 10 metres, or a long range curtain to 20 metres. Mounted horizontally it gives a vertical curtain to 3 metres. It runs from a single 9 volt battery, drawing 30 microamps in standby and 5 milliamps in alarm. Sensitivity is adjustable from 30 to 170 percent and a DIP switch selects either a one minute inhibit timer or a five second alarm.

Additional Information
Please read this before ordering. This is a sensor head, not a complete wireless detector. It provides a CMOS output and an empty bay for a radio transmitter PCB of up to 59 by 46 mm. Unless you already have a compatible transmitter module, one must be supplied separately. Please contact us before ordering if you need us to open the unit and confirm whether a transmitter module is fitted.
No battery is included. The sensor takes a 9 V 6LR61 alkaline or U9VL lithium battery.
The sensor is rainproof rather than waterproof and no ingress protection rating is published by the manufacturer. Mount it under some cover.
This model is end of line. It does not appear in Takex Australia's current PIR range and no current Australian distributor listing was found. Spares and support should not be assumed.
The carton is damaged, with a split along one top edge. The sensor and accessories inside are new and unused. The date sticker indicates 2019 stock.
Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
