Takex PA-4810 Quad Mirror Optic PIR Detector 12m Wide Angle Indoor (NEW In Box)

The Takex PA-4810 is a wall or pillar mounted indoor passive infrared intrusion detector using precision mirror optics rather than a plastic Fresnel lens. The mirror assembly is adjustable and has an aiming LED and viewfinder, so the detection pattern can be aimed accurately at installation rather than approximated. Coverage is 84 degrees over 12 metres, giving 18 pairs of sensitive zones.

Detection uses a quad pyroelectric element with fuzzy logic signal processing and selectable twin or quad sensing for fine motion. A trouble output monitors circuit damage, low supply voltage and head unit replacement failure, which is unusual at this level and useful on monitored sites. Alarm memory, remote LED control and a red warm up indicator are included. The alarm output is a dry contact relay selectable NO or NC, and a separate NC tamper contact opens if the cover is removed.

Please read this before ordering. This is an indoor detector. It is not weatherproof and has no published ingress protection rating, so it must not be mounted in an exposed outdoor position.

The carton is labelled PA-4810 and the current manufacturer designation for the same product is PA-4810E.

This is aged stock. The lot code and inventory sticker date the unit to 2013 and the carton is scuffed from long storage. The detector itself is new and unused.

The carton carries the superseded Australian C-Tick mark N1702 rather than the current RCM mark.

Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
