The adjacent MK4n swerve modules on a typical drivetrain are mirrored from each other. There are two kit layouts: "A" and "B". Please check your order carefully to ensure you receive the correct encoder configuration.

Product Overview

The MK4n Swerve Module builds upon the proven MK4i architecture with a narrower 4" inside frame member profile, enabling:

• Wider intakes between modules.

• Compact drivetrains (supports a flat-mounted FRC battery in a 17.5" wide frame).

Functional improvements over MK4i:

• Supports 0.25" magnet encoders and 0.5" hex encoders.

• Faster drive and steering speeds with 16T drive and steering pinion gears.

• 10-32 threaded holes for optional motor plate covers.

Features

• On-axis steering encoder (not included).

• Plates made of 7075-T6 aluminum.

• All-steel gears.

• Includes secondary plate to box in frame.

• 10-32 mounting holes on main plate for subsystems (e.g. collector).

• Encoder guard for CANcoder or equivalent.

• Compatible with L1+, L2, and L3+ drive ratios.

• Wheel tread pre-installed (Billet Wheel option).

• All mounting hardware included.

Notes

• Compatible drive motors: REV NEO, REV NEO Vortex, VEX Falcon 500, WCP Kraken X60.

• Compatible steering motors: same as above.

• Steering encoders supported:

  • 0.25" magnet encoders (CTRE CANcoder, Thrifty Absolute, Redux HELIUM Canandcoder, etc.)

  • 0.5" hex encoders (REV Through Bore, or equivalent).

• CIM motors are not compatible.

• Magnet for steering encoders not included.

Gear Ratios

• Steering gear ratio: 18.75:1

• Drive ratios available: L1+, L2, L3+ (same as MK4i w/16T Pinion Gear Adapter Kit).

• MK4n w/ Kraken X60 motors: 6.5 lbs ≈ 2.95 kg

• MK4n w/ NEO motors: 6.0 lbs ≈ 2.72 kg
