Optex FLX-S-ST-BKT FlipX Standard Indoor PIR Detector 12m Bracket (NEW In Box)

The Optex FLX-S-ST-BKT is the FlipX Standard indoor passive infrared detector supplied with its wall and ceiling bracket. Its defining feature is a rotatable lens: turning the lens changes the coverage between a wide 12 metre pattern at 85 degrees and a narrow 18 metre pattern at 5 degrees, so one part number covers both a room and a corridor. It supersedes the older Optex 8683 and RX-40QZ.

Detection uses a quad type pet tolerant pyroelectric element with Optex SMDA logic and a spherical lens for consistent sensitivity across the pattern. The detector is EN Grade 2 and provides separate normally closed alarm, trouble and tamper outputs, each rated 24 V DC at 0.1 A. Warm up takes about 60 seconds with the green LED blinking. It works with Hills XR and XRPro, Ness and most conventional alarm panels.

Please read this before ordering. This variant is passive infrared only. It does not have microwave and it is not a dual technology detector. The carton heading reads PIR/Combination Detector because the artwork is shared across the FlipX range, and the tick table on the back of the carton confirms this part is PIR plus bracket. The dual technology sibling is the FLX-S-DT-BKT.

This is an indoor detector with no published ingress protection rating. It is not suitable for outdoor mounting.

The carton is factory sealed and has not been opened, so the contents listed above are per the manufacturer's specification rather than from inspection.
