The Hitachi DT00891 is a genuine Hitachi replacement lamp unit for the Hitachi CP-A100 and ED-A100 series ultra short throw 3LCD projectors. It ships as a complete module, with the arc bulb already mounted in the Hitachi lamp housing, so the whole assembly is fitted through the projector lamp door as one part. Hitachi lists the same assembly under the service code CPA100LAMP.

The module uses a high pressure mercury arc bulb rated at 220 W, with a quoted service life of 2,000 hours. Using the genuine Hitachi module keeps the projector within its designed optical alignment and cooling specification. The lamp contains mercury and must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
