EliteControl EC-PSU2 Plug On Power Supply Battery Backup 13.8V (NEW In Box)

The EliteControl EC-PSU2 is a plug on power supply module with battery backup for the EC range of expanders, made by Arrowhead Alarm Products of Auckland, New Zealand. It mounts directly onto the expander board on headers, giving that expander its own local 13.8 V supply and standby battery instead of drawing everything from the panel.

The module accepts 15 to 24 V AC or DC from a plugpack or panel transformer and delivers a thermally protected 13.8 V DC output at 1.4 A, with a 250 mA battery charging output. Dynamic battery monitoring, AC fail monitoring and thermal output protection are built in, and the module reports battery, AC and supervision status back to the control panel. It is compatible with the EC-A2, EC-O4, EC-Z8 and the ESL OUTPUT v2 boards.

Please read this before ordering. The carton is printed 1.5 A but the manufacturer and both Australian distributors specify 1.4 A. Treat 1.4 A as the rating.

This is a plug on board only. It is not a standalone power supply and will not work on its own. It plugs onto an EC range expander, which is the EC-A2, EC-O4, EC-Z8 or ESL OUTPUT v2.

It needs a 15 to 24 V AC or DC source, typically a 16 to 18 V AC plugpack or panel transformer, and a 12 V sealed lead acid battery. Neither is supplied.

The EliteControl range has been declared end of life by Arrowhead in favour of its EliteCloud platform. Long term support and firmware are not assured. Offered as new old stock.

The box is sealed and shows light scuffing and a slight crease on the label from storage. Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
