EliteControl EC-A2 2 Door Access Control Expander for ESX ESL (NEW In Box)

The EliteControl EC-A2 is a two door access control expander module for the Elite ESX and ESL alarm systems, made by Arrowhead Alarm Products of Auckland, New Zealand. It adds card reader controlled door, garage or gate operation to an existing alarm panel without a separate access control system.

The board provides two access keypad or reader inputs in Arrowhead's proprietary Wiegand format, two relay outputs rated 2 A at 30 V DC, and two inputs that default to request to exit buttons and can be reconfigured as door or lock monitoring alarm inputs. A tamper input is switchable on ESX systems. The module connects to the panel's keypad bus over four screw terminals for 12 V, ground, clock and data, draws about 100 mA, and is addressed by DIP switches with a further switch selecting one door or two door mode.

Additional Information

Please read this before ordering. This board is for Elite ESX and ESL or ESL-2 panels. The current replacement, the EC-A2 REX, is not a drop in substitute and works only on EC and EC-i panels. If you have an EC or EC-i panel this board is not the right one, and if you have an ESX or ESL panel the newer EC-A2 REX will not work for you. Confirm your panel model before ordering.

ESX panels require firmware 10.2.441 or later.

Arrowhead has flagged this part as end of life and directs EliteControl customers toward its EliteCloud platform. It is offered as new old stock.

This is a bare printed circuit board. No enclosure, no readers, no power supply and no battery are included. Readers must be Arrowhead proprietary Wiegand types. 2K2 end of line resistors are required on the inputs and tamper and are not confirmed as supplied.

The box is sealed and shows minor scuffing and edge wear from storage. Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
