The Blustream HEX70SL-TX is a slimline single-input HDBaseT transmitter that extends HDMI over one CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT6a cable to a matching HEX70SL-RX receiver. Its very low profile chassis is designed to sit behind a display or inside furniture where a full size extender will not fit. Blustream is an Australian developed brand and the product is manufactured in China.

The transmitter carries 1080p up to 70 m and 4K UHD up to 40 m. Supported resolutions include 3840x2160 at 30 Hz 4:4:4, 4096x2160 at 24 Hz 4:4:4, 4K at 60 Hz 4:2:0 and all standard resolutions from VGA to WUXGA. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant, uses Smart EDID management and transmits uncompressed with zero latency. Audio pass-through covers Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio. Connections are one HDMI Type A 19-pin female input, one HDBaseT RJ-45 output, a 3.5 mm stereo jack IR input and a 3.5 mm mono jack IR output, with bi-directional IR pass-through and bi-directional PoC. Power is 12 V 1 A DC or drawn over PoC from the receiver. The chassis measures 106 x 73 x 16 mm and operates from -5 to +55 degrees C.
