The axis USB-5VS is a waterproof dual port USB charger for 12 volt vessels and vehicles. It mounts through a flat panel or dashboard and is sealed to IP66 with a tethered screw on cap, so it can be fitted in an exposed position on a boat, a rigid inflatable, a golf car, a caravan or a UTV.

Two USB-A ports share a 3.1 A output at 5 V DC. One port supplies up to 2.1 A for tablets and the other up to 1.0 A for phones and smaller devices. The unit is supplied with a fitted 1.78 metre two core lead for connection to the 12 V battery or a switched supply. The housing is UV stabilised to ASTM D4329 and D2244 and salt spray tested to ASTM B117. It carries CE, FCC, RoHS and the Australian supplier code N110.

Please read this before ordering. This is the Australian 12 volt accessory brand axis, distributed by Audioxtra. It is not a product of Axis Communications, the network camera manufacturer.

The unit is rated for 12 V DC only. No 24 V rating is published, so do not use it on a 24 V system.

Total output is 3.1 A shared across the two ports, 2.1 A and 1.0 A. It is not a USB Power Delivery or Quick Charge device and there is no USB-C port. Both ports are USB-A.

The IP66 rating applies with the cap screwed on. With a device plugged in the ports are exposed, which is normal for this style of product.

Installation requires drilling a 38.1 mm hole in the panel or dashboard. No inline fuse is supplied and one should be fitted as part of any competent 12 V installation.

This model is no longer listed by axis Australia and is offered as new old stock. No current manufacturer warranty is implied.
