Aritech TS1061 Tecom ChallengerPlus Dual Wiegand Interface Unit (NEW In Box)

The Aritech TS1061 is a dual Wiegand interface unit for the Tecom ChallengerPlus and the Tecom Network Access Controller, sold in Australia under the Tecom part number S7017A. It connects Wiegand technology card readers to the system and expands door capacity, providing two reader ports, two relay outputs, four inputs and a tamper input on a single board.

It is an RS-485 data bus device with plug on connectors for the bus and for lock power, and can run up to 1,500 metres from the control panel. Power is 11 to 14 V DC taken from the data bus or from an external 12 V supply, with the board drawing around 80 mA and the connected readers sharing a 450 mA budget. The firmware is remotely upgradeable through CTPlus installer software, and multiple end of line resistor values are supported. This is the newest generation module of its type in the Tecom range and carries a seven year warranty class on the distributor label.

Additional Information

Please read this before ordering. This module works with the Tecom ChallengerPlus and the Tecom Network Access Controller only. It will not work with Challenger10 or Challenger V8. This is the most common cause of a return on this part, so please confirm your panel before buying.

It is not an Aritech ATS or Advisor Advanced part.

This is a bare PCB and the installation manual specifically requires it to be mounted in an ENC-LGE Large Enclosure, which is not supplied. No Wiegand readers, lock hardware or power supply are included.

Bus address limits apply. A maximum of twelve units can sit on a ChallengerPlus COMMS bus, and fifteen or sixteen on a Network Access Controller bus depending on which bus is used.

Wiegand readers connected to this unit share a 450 mA supply budget.

Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
