The Aritech TS1041 is an eight way relay board for the Tecom Challenger security system, sold in Australia under the Tecom part number S5020. It provides eight single pole Form C relays with dry NO or NC contacts, so panel outputs can drive door strikes, gates, lighting contactors, plant interlocks and any other equipment that needs a volt free contact. It supersedes the older TS0841 and offers lower latency, allowing more cards in series.
The board connects to its host by a ten way ribbon cable rather than a data bus, plugging into the Challenger panel at J14, a 4-Door or 4-Lift Controller at J21, a standard DGP at J8, or a Network Access Controller at J200. Cards can be daisy chained from an IN connector to an OUT connector. It runs from the 13.8 V DC supplied by the host, drawing 50 mA standby and 250 mA with all eight relays energised, and delays for several seconds on power up to prevent relay chatter.

Additional Information
Please read this before ordering. This is a Tecom Challenger part. It will not work in an Aritech ATS or Advisor Advanced panel, which is a different European system.
The card connects by ribbon cable, not RS-485, so it must be mounted inside or immediately adjacent to the host panel, DGP or door controller.
A maximum of two cards can be fitted to a standard DGP. Chains of three or more cards need their own 12 V supply.
Relay contacts are rated 1 A at 30 V DC. They are not suitable for switching mains voltage directly and interposing contactors should be used.
This is a bare PCB. No enclosure and no power supply are included. Installation should be carried out by a licensed security technician.
The carton shows shelf wear from storage. The contents are new and unused.
